Job DescriptionThis position is for a GOOGLE CLOUD Engineer. We are looking for a skilled Google Cloud Engineer. Successful candidate will build and maintain robust cloud solutions using core GCP services. Duties would include creating and constantly enhancing the cloud infrastructure for the portfolio systems. Several of the important initiatives for the organization will be launched with the help of the functionality this candidate will supply. The ideal candidate will be versed in Linux internals, the basics of networking, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming, all of which are crucial to succeed in our multidisciplinary team.Key Responsibilities:• Infrastructure Design: Build and run scalable cloud environments using services like Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Cloud Storage.• Automation & IaC: Write and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to automate resource deployment.• Security & Compliance: Set up secure access controls, least-privilege IAM (Identity and Access Management), and network firewalls.• Monitoring & Health: Track system performance and uptime using Cloud Monitoring and logging tools to spot and fix problems early.• Migration & Scaling: Help move applications from local servers to Google Cloud and optimize resource costs over time.Typical Duties:• Create, put into practice, and use cloud-native solutions• Establish clear, specific criteria with key stakeholders• Schedule and prioritize activities in accordance with business needs• Identify possible weak points in the infrastructure and systems and create effective mitigation plans• Assist the security team in advancing strong standards• Oversee the process of implementing solutions or services with an aim for minimal downtime• Create and own scaling, capacity planning, configuration management, and monitoring of processes and procedures• Ensure there is thorough monitoring coverage,Required Skills• 6+ years of industry experience and significant Google Cloud Platform (GCP) knowledge• Experience with Linux and software development• Experience with cloud native application design and development using APIs, containers, Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio), preferably on Google Cloud Platform• Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes• Proficient in Git and Bash• Ability to do standard Linux system administration tasks with ease, such as mounting and formatting disks, checking resource usage, monitoring and debugging processes, setting up cron jobs, building Systemd units and timers, etc.• Proficient in writing in at least one of the following: Python, Golang, PHP, or Typescript.• Proven expertise throughout the full stack in troubleshooting and debugging web apps (i.e. the application layer, the database layer, the network layer, the OS)• GCP Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud core networking, storage, and computing services.• DevOps Tools: Experience with container tools like Docker and Kubernetes.• Coding & Scripting: Strong skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.,Desired Skills• Experience managing MySQL or non-SQL databases like MongoDB• Experience managing Vitess• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.• Certifications: Active Google Certification, Google Cloud Developer or Google Cloud Engineer/ Architect certification is a strong plus.,About Sabree Software ServicesSabree Software Services, Inc.
