Job summary

Conexess Group seeks a Systems / Network Admin - Level I for two on-site openings in Allen, TX and Aurora, IL. This 12-month contract-to-hire role focuses on maintaining and enhancing data center systems and networks from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call rotation.

You will install and configure LAN/WAN, monitor performance, and apply software/hardware updates, while supporting security policies and DR testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of data center experience.
• Experience with Service Now or similar change control systems.
• Experience in DCIM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitors systems for optimum performance and availability.
• Installs, configures and maintains LAN/WAN/Internet networks.
• Implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoots and resolves customer and internally-reported system problems.
• Implements and monitors corporate security policies.
• Documents and implements system procedures, policies and events.
• Participates in on-call 24x7 support rotation.
• Performs essential functions required for effective system backup and restore testing.
• Performs periodic recovery testing of DR plans.
• May manage data access and data permissions.
• May assist support groups with applications installed on servers.
• May perform other functions as assigned.

These positions will sit in two of our data center locations: Allen, TX and Aurora, IL. Working hours will flexibly be 8:00AM to 5:00PM. On-call or after hours duties may be required.

What you would need to have:

• Minimum of 2years of experience in a data center.
• Experience with working in Service Now or similar change control systems.
• Experience in DCIM platforms.

What would be nice for you to have:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Foundation certification in ITSM frameworks
• Applicable industry standard certifications.
• Developing professional expertise. Works on non-complex to moderately complex projects. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and principles.
• General communication and customer interaction skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of our products.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve customer problems in a timely manner.
