Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Systems and Network Administrator to support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems across client/server/storage/network devices and mobile endpoints, with emphasis on reliability and security.

The ideal candidate has 10 years of hands-on administration, a technical Bachelor’s degree (or 15 years of experience in lieu of degree), and an active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance to work on classified projects in Maryland.

Qualifications

Ten years of system/network admin experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required.
Five years of additional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
Configure and manage Linux/CentOS operating systems and install/load operating system software with enhancements.
Configure and manage virtual and storage environments; Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components.
Use team collaboration and issue tracking tools such as Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), GitHub, and ServiceNow.
