Responsibilities

The Facilities Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for inspecting campus systems, including HVAC equipment, pumps, condensers, compressors, and electrical and domestic water services. Responsibilities include starting up, regulating, and shutting down equipment, ensuring safe and economical operation by monitoring meters, gauges, and computerized controls. The role involves routine checks, data logging, and problem identification. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn new skills through on-the-job training and professional development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or HSE
• Valid Driver's License
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, including confined spaces with temperature variations
• Physical ability to access various campus locations, including walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Strong technical writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Computer proficiency
