Amentum is seeking a Systems Integrator to support the US DOE LMS IT Projects team. The role participates in design, installation, modification, and operation of information systems and helps modernize capabilities and processes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (experience can substitute). With 5+ years of IT/Services experience, you bring strong communication, analytics, and hands-on familiarity with M365, Windows Server, AD, and Azure.

We are currently seeking a Systems Integrator to provide support to the US DOE Office of Legacy Management Support (LMS) IT Projects team. The Systems Integrator will leverage their knowledge and experience to participate and aid teams that develop key new IT capabilities or to modernize and enhance existing capabilities, artifacts, and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in the overall design, selection, installation, modification, and operation of an information systems capability.
• Understands and applies existing, company-specific project management methods.
• Actively participate in IT Project Management, IT Governance, and IT Operations department meetings to provide status updates, presenting planned configuration changes, assisting in root cause analysis and associated issue resolution, etc..
• Comprehends organizational structure and established escalation process.
• Completes project tasks according to subscribed directions.
• Provides local support to site operations and staff as needed, ranging from infrastructure systems, networking devices and configuration, client endpoints, and end-users.
• Works independently to complete assignments according to standard operating procedures; seeks manager’s input/approval for non-standard assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, and EXPERIENCE

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. Experience in lieu of education considered.

Experience: 5 or more years of applicable and proven experience in Information Technology / Services.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal. Able to translate technical jargon to simple business language.
• Advanced analytical skills and abilities to derive solutions to resolve complex issues.
• Understands and applies existing, company-specific project management methods.
• Develops solutions to resolve project issues.
• Assists with the creation and/or review of project and/or technical documentation; templates, charters, schedules, plans, design documents, etc.
• Experience in the M365 suite of products, spanning both administration and general use.
• Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Azure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint,), various web conferencing tools (Teams, WebEx), and various web browsers (Edge, Chrome).
• Exposure to or skills with any of the following: NIST SP 800-53, Networking, Server Operations or one of the LM Cybersecurity technical systems (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Cisco FirePower, etc.).
• Experience with Palo Alto Network and Cisco Firewalls.
• Collaboration and cooperation in various team settings to include physical and virtual environments.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Activities:

Light work: Work involves moving objects by exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job/occupation is rated for light work when it requires (1) a significant degree of walking or standing, (2) mostly sitting while pushing or pulling arm or leg controls, or (3) working when the weight of the materials is negligible. (The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production-rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not require any supervisor responsibilities.

Compensation Details:

$67,250.15 - $85,147.36

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
