Job summary

Albireo Energy is seeking an entry-level systems integrator to join our Solutions team. You will own the systems integration process for projects, coordinating with senior staff and engineering, in a mentor-mentee environment.

You will develop in-office presence in DC or Atlanta as part of a Seattle-based team. You'll design PLC logic, HMI and electrical control circuits, perform field activities, and contribute to proposals and deliverables while traveling up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required.
• Coursework, academic projects, internships, or co-op in controls/automation/programming.
• Strong written and oral communication skills preferred.
• Experience with MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC logic.
• Design and program HMI interfaces.
• Electrical control circuit design and review.
• Field activities including installation, commissioning, and site investigations.
• Perform system integrations using various serial and ethernet protocols.
• Prepare proposals and review plans/specifications.

We thrive in a casual but dynamic work environment and are seeking a motivated, entry-level systems integrator to join our Solutions team. This position exercises ownership over the systems integration process for small-to-large size projects in coordination with senior systems integrators, project management and engineering in a mentor-mentee oriented approach. We are looking for individuals to work with our Seattle-based team and develop in-office presences in Washington, D.C. or Atlanta, GA.

Position Responsibilities

In this position your duties will entail:

• PLC logic design and programming
• HMI design and programming
• Electrical control circuit design and review
• Field activities such as installation, commissioning, and site investigations
• Perform systems integrations using a wide variety of serial and ethernet communication protocols
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing as required
• Preparation of proposals and review of plans and specifications
• Meeting and presentations to customers, internal and external
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Coursework, academic projects, internships, or co-op experience demonstrating an interest in controls, automation, embedded systems, or programming
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Willingness to travel for field activities and to develop an in-office presence in Washington, D.C. or Atlanta, GA

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years in PLC programming utilizing IEC-61131 languages
• 2+ years in HMI/SCADA design, programming, and database programming
• Certification with Inductive Automation Ignition, GE Cimplicity, Rockwell FactoryTalk or Wonderware System Platform is a plus
• 2+ years in electrical schematic design for control systems
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is a plus
• 0-2+ years in networking for OT/ICS networks
• Certification with Moxa, Cisco, or Rockwell Automation is a plus
• Demonstrated experience with common industrial automation communication protocols including Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET and serial equivalents
• Industry experience with data centers, critical environments, or rail is a plus
• Ability to travel up to 80%

Pay: $80-100k/yr DOE
