Job summary

Daifuku Airport America Corporation seeks an experienced System Integration Engineer III to design and integrate AGVs and AMRs across manufacturing, warehousing, airports, and entertainment settings.

You will collaborate with sales, estimating, and design teams, translate technical requirements into system architecture, and drive productivity improvements, cost reductions, and customer satisfaction through robust solutions.

Qualifications

• AS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• BS in Engineering (Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Robotics/CS) preferred.
• AGV/AMR, Mobile Robotics, Automation, Controls Engineering, PLC programming and System Integration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform system integration of AGVs, AMRs and peripheral equipment at customer locations.
• Responsible for system design, installation, testing, debugging, and commissioning.
• Review and interpret customer’s project specifications.
• Author design specification document for the project.
• Define scope of work and description of operation.
• Create system layout drawings, renderings, and illustrations.
• Create system code.
• Calculate equipment performance requirements.
• Interfacing with customers.
• Collaboration with other teams on the project.
• Participate in simulation/emulation as needed.
• Ensure system designed to intended function, durability, and cost.
• Prepare RFQ and specification documentation for equipment and machinery.
• Evaluate technical risk of the project.
• Identify and raise issues impacting quality/scope/time/cost.
• Present material handling technical solution to customers/teams.
• Recommend and implement process improvement.
• Provide analysis of system operational data for improvements.
• Define preliminary project schedule.
• Estimate system cost.
• Provide ROI assessment.
