Job summary
BEUMER Group is seeking a System Integration Engineer to lead the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software for the ICS within BEUMER's baggage handling systems. The role covers the US, Canada, and Caribbean, with 30-40% travel.
You will troubleshoot PLCs, update firmware, and ensure robust system performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting installation phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, software, mechatronics, or related field.
- 5+ years in baggage handling or automated material handling at IT/controls level.
- Advanced understanding of industrial automation and electrical controls.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain airport security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support deployment and performance of the ICS (CrisBag).
- Serve as the technical SME for ICS Other Technologies (OT).
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting, programming, testing, and commissioning.
- Interface with engineering, hotline and support site teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Verify documentation related to system changes.
- Validate, test, and deploy firmware.
- Maintain and update controls documentation, backups, and change records.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and operational data for improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and training to senior technicians and site personnel.
