Ora Apps Inc. in Long Beach, CA, seeks an avionics integration engineer with hands-on experience integrating flight control systems into aircraft.
The role focuses on testing and simulation to ensure all relays, connections, and software work together. Candidate should have history at aerospace OEMs or integrators such as Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier, or similar, and be willing to relocate for 12–18 months.
Must have experience integrating flight control systems into an aircraft, rather than performing testing on the individual components. For example, they are NOT looking for someone who has just performed systems testing on a flight control system at Collins. They want someone who took that Collins flight control system and then helped integrate it into a Boeing 757 by performing testing and simulation to make sure that all the relays/connections and software function correctly together.
They are currently reusing a lot of 757 parts (analog relays) as well as some of the Gulfstream platform for the Flight Controls. They do NOT need this person to ensure the aircraft meets any specific FAA std since the parts have already been tested to those stds. They just need to initially help with the overall integration and perform the testing/modeling.
Someone that worked at a Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier, etc., at their avionics test facilities to integrate components into aircraft is what they’re looking for.
Also, this is not hydraulic/mechanical integration. They have that covered in house. This is integrating the electrical (analog/digital) and software systems.
They have tapped out the local market and want help finding out of the area candidates who will relocate to Long Beach, CA for the next 12-18 months. She would be able to set us up as a supplier quickly (within a week) once we identified candidates. These are their most pressing needs right now.
