Job summary

Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance is seeking a Systems Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and advance our enterprise infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, backups, and cloud hosting.

We offer three experience levels (Level I: 2+ years, Level II: 7+ years, Level III: 10+ years) with opportunities to lead projects, mentor teammates, strengthen security, automate operations, and contribute to reliable technology services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field preferred.
• Experience implementing and managing Windows Server, AD, DNS, and networking.
• Experience with scripting and automation in enterprise IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise servers, virtualization, storage, and backup systems.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, ensure system availability.
• Support enterprise cloud platforms, hosting environments, and identity and access management.
• Strengthen infrastructure security through vulnerability management, patching, and controls.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement improvements, automation, and scalable solutions.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help maintain and advance the enterprise infrastructure that keeps our organization connected, secure, and operating efficiently.

• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup and recovery systems.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Support enterprise cloud platforms, application hosting environments, and identity and access management.
• Strengthen infrastructure security through vulnerability management, system patching, and security controls.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement infrastructure improvements, automation, and scalable technology solutions.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

• Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, and TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, enterprise storage, and backup and recovery solutions.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Understanding of enterprise cloud services, security practices, and system performance optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.

Requirements to Succeed

We are considering candidates at multiple experience levels:

Level I | 2+ years:

Build your expertise while supporting infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and system administration.

Level II | 7+ years:

Independently manage critical infrastructure, resolve complex issues, implement improvements, and mentor junior team members.

Level III | 10+ years:

Lead infrastructure architecture, strategic planning, enterprise technology improvements, and technical initiatives.

An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
