ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a full-time Systems Facility Test Engineer to support our nation’s premier Propulsion Test Complex at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Edwards Air Base, CA. This role will support a new project that involves designing the layout, building the test site, and testing a new generation propulsion system. This is an exciting opportunity to assist and shape the future of propulsion testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety and ease of maintenance are integrated into every part of the test facility construction.
• Develop FMEAs for all processes involved in construction.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure new systems are compatible with testing requirements.
• Review and monitor AFRL safety policies and instructions, communicating all changes to AFRL management.
• Evaluate all AFRL safety engineering requirements related to the system.
• Provide routine briefings to leadership and customers.
• Support Test Safety and Facility Readiness Review Boards as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in propulsion testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related discipline; an advanced degree may substitute for up to three years of experience.
• Proficiency in evaluating material compliance with various types of propellants.
• Experience with propellant and piping compatibility.
• Must be a US Citizen to meet government contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Willingness to support weekend or after-hours work if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in propulsion testing support.
• Some background in Systems Safety.
