Job summary

Raytheon in Aurora, CO is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a premier Space Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance program onsite. You will work on requirements, architecture, and verification, partnering with the test team to validate system performance and interfaces.

The role emphasizes experience across lifecycle activities, MBSE/tools, and Agile practices with TS/SCI clearance; relocation is eligible, and on-site work in Aurora is expected.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience supporting the systems engineering lifecycle, roles, and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: ConOps development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, or interface definition and control
  • Experience supporting a government contract in a systems engineering role
  • Experience supporting a project domain such as mission management ground systems or space-based ISR platforms, Experience with Agile principles, including Agile systems engineering practices and an understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.

  • Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
  • Provide engineering support for execution of the program’s test activities, including test processes, baseline definition, and test architecture design

  • Support and participate in technical reviews and technical interchange meetings in support of the program

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting one of our premier programs within the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (SISR) business unit. In this role, your experience with requirements, architecture and design elaboration, systems engineering analysis, script development, interface definition and control, and verification and validation will be put to good use. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do

  • Experience supporting a government contract in a systems engineering role
  • Experience supporting a project domain such as mission management ground systems or space-based Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, Experience with Agile principles, including Agile systems engineering practices and an understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities
  • Active and transferable Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and with Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or other requirements databases
  • Experience supporting systems integration, test, verification, and validation activities

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
