Job summary

RTX is seeking a data analytics and automation specialist for a remote-based role across the continental United States. The candidate will develop analytics, dashboards, and automation to improve engineering and business outcomes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders to deliver scalable digital solutions.

The role emphasizes data governance, AI/ML readiness, and driving operational efficiency through Power Platform tools and SharePoint integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office365 Power Applications - Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver data, analytics, automation, and digital solutions that improve engineering and business outcomes.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights through dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Partner with engineers, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Support the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML and digital engineering capabilities.
  • Help establish and improve data standards, processes, governance, and operational metrics.
  • Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop custom business applications using Power Apps to streamline workforce processes.
  • Manage and enhance SharePoint sites for collaboration, data storage and workflow integration.

This position is remote based at any RTX office within the continental United States.

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories). What You Will Do

This position will require up to 10% travel.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office365 Power Applications - Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard development), Power Automate (workflow automation), Power Apps (app development.), and/or SharePoint (site management and integration).
  • Experience working with large datasets and data visualization.
  • Experience using Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with Lean/CORE or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data architecture principles.
  • Experience developing dashboards, automated workflows, or data-driven applications.
  • Exposure to AI/ML, digital engineering, or process automation.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and demonstrated interest in learning and applying emerging technologies.

Salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
