Job summary

Textron Systems in Massachusetts is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineering Manager to lead a dedicated team of systems engineers responsible for requirements management, architecture development, and verification across an Air Force development program.

You will drive interface management, risk analysis, and coordination among mechanical design, analysis, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver cohesive system designs and verified requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Extensive experience in systems engineering or product development with complex multi-disciplinary systems.
• Familiarity with requirement management tools, configuration management systems, and MBSE approaches.
• U.S. Security Clearance preferred or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess compliance to subsystem and unit level requirements.
• Develop system requirement verification methods with test, analysis, and quality teams.
• Produce verification artifacts demonstrating compliance to requirements.
• Provide requirements traceability, interface management, and risk analysis across subsystems/units.
• Coordinate cross-team efforts among mechanical design, analysis, manufacturing, and test.
• Oversee multiple supplier requirements management and verification activities.
