Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Colorado is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering leader for hypersonic missile programs. You will guide MBSE activities, manage a multi-site team, and shape system architecture and CONOPS to meet ambitious schedules.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, a STEM degree, and a track record of leading engineering teams in defense environments. Expect collaboration across disciplines and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Lead/manager or Product Owner experience on a team or project.
• Experience as an engineer in weapon systems, aerospace, or defense industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Active DoD Secret clearance; US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of Systems Engineers including staffing, tasking, coordination, career development, and administrative items.
• Manage budget, schedule, and technical aspects of the team.
• Update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics routinely.
• Guide derivation of requirements, interfaces, and specification development in DOORS.
• Guide MBSE products, system architecture, and CONOPS development in Cameo.
• Guide assessments of technical performance measures, requirement compliance, risks, and opportunities.
• Guide system integration efforts.
• Support verification planning and execution.
• Support proposal efforts.
• Support formal milestone reviews.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other disciplines across a small, fast-paced, dynamic program; adapting to the rapidly changing environment of a development program on a challenging schedule.
• Use your excellent communication skills and self‑motivating drive to work across Lockheed Martin business areas to progress towards a common goal.
• Promote a positive teamwork culture within a small, diverse team spread across multiple sites.
