Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, a leading vehicle manufacturer, offers an internship with Frontline Communications in Clearwater, FL. You will assist design/production engineers with systems engineering tasks, using AutoCAD and other CAD tools, and help on the assembly floor for prototypes and production builds.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with strong communication skills and prior internship experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience with CAD tools is a plus.
• Previous internship or work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software.
• Select parts for weight, cost, reliability and manufacturability.
• Assist on assembly floor for prototype, pilot or production builds.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Test or assist in testing of vehicles or components.
• Design and test new comm systems components for vehicles.
• Update bill of materials reflecting product changes.
• Configure IP addresses and serial communication in mobile command centers.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
