Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and assessments in alignment with course objectives and department standards.
  • Facilitate student learning through clear instruction, meaningful discussions, and real‑world applications.
  • Evaluate and grade student work in a timely, fair, and constructive manner.
  • Provide academic support through office hours or scheduled meetings.
  • Collaborate with the department chair and faculty to ensure course consistency and quality.
  • Submit final grades and any required reports by established deadlines.
  • Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate relevant content into the course as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Professional experience in systems engineering or a related industry.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college or graduate level is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage and support a diverse student population.
Additional Information

This is a part‑time, non‑tenure‑track position. Courses may be taught in‑person, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on program needs. Adjunct appointments are made on a semester‑by‑semester basis.

Compensation
  • Lecturer Equivalent: $8,000
  • Senior Lecturer Equivalent: $9,200
  • Assistant Professor Equivalent: $9,200
  • Associate Professor Equivalent: $10,300
  • Professor Equivalent: $11,450
  • Professor Equivalent "Distinguished": $12,000
