Job summary

CADRE in Reston, VA is seeking a Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join a focused network and systems engineering team. This full-time, on-site role offers a salary range of $130,000 to $190,000 per year and requires the ability to obtain and maintain the poly.

The engineer will develop, test, deploy and maintain technology solutions while collaborating with Microsoft technologies, virtualization, cloud platforms, and security-focused practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with poly.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field; 10 years of relevant experience acceptable.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in CS/Engineering/IT/IS.
• Knowledge of modern server operating systems and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of Virtual Desktop technologies and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of collaboration and ticketing tools.
• Knowledge of high availability technologies and network security concepts.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, scale, deploy, and maintain technology solutions.
• Build solutions with a focus on information security principles.
• Work with Microsoft technologies and virtualization platforms.
• Monitor networks to ensure availability and performance.
• Partner with Project Management and engineering teams to deliver outcomes.
