Job summary

Insight Global seeks a cleared Systems Engineer to support design, development, and integration of complex mission systems. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams on MBSE, DOORS requirements, system architecture, and verification activities for Navy-related programs.

Ideal candidates have a Secret clearance with TS/SCI potential, and naval/underwater systems experience. Compensation ranges from $60/hr to $95/hr with comprehensive benefits and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required.
• Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Experience in requirements development and management, system modeling, and architecture development.
• Proven ability to communicate findings clearly to customers and leadership.
• Experience with Navy programs or underwater/naval systems is highly desirable.

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a cleared Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of complex mission systems. This role will work within multi-disciplinary teams to perform systems engineering activities including requirements management (DOORS), system architecture development, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital engineering, interface management, CONOPS development, trade studies, integration and testing, and verification and validation. Responsibilities include developing technical documentation and engineering artifacts, supporting program reviews and milestone events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and CSR), presenting technical briefings to customers and leadership, and contributing to capture and proposal efforts. The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative self-starter with strong communication skills and a proven ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results. Experience supporting Navy programs and underwater or naval systems, including UUVs, ROVs, torpedoes, SONAR systems, submarine payloads, and anti-submarine warfare missions, is highly desirable.

Compensation for this role ranges from $60/hr to $95/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access.

Skills and Requirements

• Has experience working in the maritime surface / undersea domain.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Demonstrated experience in one or more Systems Engineering processes, including requirements development & management, system modeling, system architecture development, interface traceability, integration & test, and verification & validation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn additional discipline areas.
• Current Secret clearance, and willingness to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph
• Broad experience with systems engineering applied throughout the systems “V” lifecycle model.
• Proficiency in requirements management and tools such as IBM DOORS.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks/modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML, DoDAF, UPDM and/or UAF).
• Proficiency in Model-Based tools (e.g., Cameo, ModelCenter, SIEMENS Teamcenter).
• Proficiency executing systems engineering functions within a digital ecosystem.
