Parsons seeks a Systems Engineer to join our Aberdeen Proving Ground team, delivering mission-critical systems for the DoD and Army. You’ll lead lifecycle management of complex software, web, and hardware, integrating components into cohesive, scalable solutions that support modernization and the warfighter.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s to master’s in engineering with 0–10+ years of experience, and active TS/SCI clearance.

• Ensure modular, scalable designs compliant with MOSA and DoD standards.
• Conduct trade studies, reviews, and interface mapping for interoperability.
• Collaborate across teams on specs, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
• Prepare documentation and architectural viewpoints to support ISP.

Job Description:

As a Systems Engineer at Parsons, you will join a fast-paced team supporting mission-critical requirements for the Department of War and United States Army. Become part of a diverse group of 500 professionals delivering expertise in systems integration, software and hardware engineering, and technical leadership across Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood, Maryland, for a range of efforts spanning 5 years and a total value exceeding $600 million. The ideal candidate is a big-picture thinker with strong technical skills, adept at designing, integrating, and maintaining complex systems that drive Army modernization and support to the warfighter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of sophisticated software, web, and hardware systems from initial specifications through rollout and maintenance.
• Integrate network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices to create cohesive, resilient solutions.
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (e.g., MagicDraw, SysML) to develop and document system architectures.
• Ensure system designs are modular, scalable, interoperable, and maintainable, leveraging MOSA principles and DoD standards.
• Conduct technical trade studies, engineering reviews, and interface mapping to verify system interoperability and compliance.
• Translate organizational interoperability visions into practical, standards-based system designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage specifications, design, coding, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and architectural viewpoints to support Information Support Plans (ISP) and enable system

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 0–10+ years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• TS/SCI is required
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with systems integration, MBSE methodologies, and tools such as MagicDraw and SysML is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with DoD standards and modular open systems approaches preferred.

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team. Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
