Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering teams to understand testing schedules and material needs.

• Ensure equipment readiness for test execution across multiple projects.
• Use automation tools to conduct automated tests and report results.
• Support troubleshooting by collecting logs and data during testing.
• Execute manual and automated tests, document results, and record issues.
• Conduct dry runs of new or updated test cases.
• Support test method validation and measurement system analysis with data documentation and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers during troubleshooting and verification of fixes.
• Write reports and log issues identified during verification tests.
• Participate in project planning and technical execution.
• Support laboratory safety, cleanliness, and organizational practices.
• Perform technician tasks using standard or advanced techniques.

Job Title: Systems Engineer Test Technician

Location: Onsite - Acton, MA, 01720

Duration: 6+ months, with potential extension or conversion

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, no overtime

Pay: $27 - $30.21/hr

This position is onsite and involves supporting and managing materials and tools while performing various engineering tasks within R&D. The role includes supporting ongoing product development and new initiatives, working closely with a team of test technicians and engineers to manage materials and assets for testing purposes. The primary goal is to ensure the smooth operation of material supply and testing activities to facilitate effective product design, development, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering teams to understand testing schedules and material needs.
• Create and set up test fixtures and laboratory equipment for testing.
• Ensure equipment readiness for test execution across multiple projects.
• Use automation tools to conduct automated tests and report results.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience in a laboratory environment, ideally within R&D.
• Minimum of two years' experience using MS Office (Word, Excel) and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• An associate degree in an engineering or technical field.
• Self-motivated, quick learner capable of working efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with equipment maintenance.
• Strong planning, organization, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Android or iOS technologies is advantageous.
• Experience with SCM (Git, Bitbucket) and CI (Jenkins, Bamboo) tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
• Experience with rapid prototyping including 3D printing.
• Familiarity with measurement system analysis, including Gage R&R studies.
• Previous experience in the medical device industry, especially within FDA/ISO regulated environments, is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
