Job summary

Employee Workplace is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer Test Technician to support product development, verification testing, and laboratory operations in a fast-paced engineering environment.

This temporary, onsite position in Acton, MA offers collaboration with engineers and technical teams on new product development and ongoing improvements. Pay is hourly, with standard daytime hours and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in lab, testing, manufacturing, or R&D.
• 2+ years Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
• Strong technical documentation, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D testing activities by coordinating materials, equipment and test schedules.
• Set up and maintain test fixtures, laboratory equipment and testing environments.
• Execute manual and automated tests and document results.
• Perform test case dry runs and assist V&V activities.
• Troubleshoot basic testing issues and collect logs and data for analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and document test findings.
• Assist with TMV, MSA, and Gage R&R studies.
• Collaborate with engineers to verify corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate routine maintenance.
• Support 5S, safety and housekeeping standards.

Systems Engineer Test Technician

Location: Acton, MA

Pay: $28.00/hour

Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

We are hiring an experienced Systems Engineer Test Technician to support product development, verification testing, and laboratory operations in a fast-paced engineering environment. This temporary position offers the opportunity to work alongside engineers and technical teams supporting new product development and existing product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support R&D testing activities by coordinating materials, equipment, and test schedules
• Set up and maintain test fixtures, laboratory equipment, and testing environments
• Execute manual and automated tests and accurately document results
• Perform test case dry runs and assist with verification and validation (V&V) activities
• Troubleshoot basic testing issues and collect logs and data for analysis
• Prepare technical reports and document test findings
• Assist with Test Method Validation (TMV), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Gage R&R studies
• Collaborate with engineers to investigate issues and verify corrective actions
• Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate routine maintenance
• Support 5S initiatives, laboratory safety, and housekeeping standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing, or R&D environment
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Strong technical documentation, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience with equipment maintenance and laboratory operations
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
• Familiarity with Android or iOS platforms
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or Bamboo
• CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks
• Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping
• Knowledge of MSA and Gage R&R methodologies
• Experience working in a regulated medical device or FDA/ISO environment
