Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a Staff Mission Integration Engineer to lead the integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment of complex mission-system hardware and software environments.

The role spans Linux, embedded software, networking, RF, and laboratory infrastructure, with hands-on responsibilities across engineering disciplines and field support. Will drive experiments and ensure reliable mission capabilities on autonomous platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/masters/PhD in engineering or related field with progressive experience.
• 8+ years in system integration, embedded systems, computing hardware, or similar environments.
• Hands-on Linux experience including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with C/C++, Python, Bash, Git, and containerized software environments.
• Experience with Ethernet networks and related network equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to design, integrate, test, qualify, and field advanced mission systems.
• Integrate hardware and software into mission-system environments for autonomous platforms.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux-based computing platforms.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and external equipment across domains.
• Configure Ethernet networks, switches, routers, fiber connections and CDS interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Support laboratory and field integration and test activities as required.
