Job summary

nLogic seeks a Systems Engineer – Test Analyst in Huntsville, AL to support the Missile Defense Agency. The role centers on performing MDS performance analyses of test data from HWIL and flight tests, developing tools to enable system-level assessments, and presenting results during reviews.

You will collaborate with SE teams, test organizations, and warfighters to ensure tests meet technical intent and to characterize system behaviors.

Qualifications

Job description

nLogic is seeking a Systems Engineer – Test Analyst in Huntsville, AL supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Primary Responsibilities

• Primary role will be representing the SE&IT by supporting MDA/DE-SEA (Enterprise Analysis & Technical Innovation) and its role within the MDAJoint Analysis Team UAT).
• Perform Missile Defense System (MDS) performance analysis of test data generated primarily by the MDA Ground Test (HWIL) program.
• May also support analysis of MDA Flight Test events, Real World Event data, and Golden Dome for America (GDA) tests.
• Developing approaches and tools to support executing System-level and Element-level performance analysis on the complex MDS, and producing analysis results and inputs to the official SEA test report products.
• Present their finding during mission data reviews.
• Responsible for working with associated Systems Engineering (SE) teams, Test Organizations, Warfighters and Element Program focals to ensure MDS tests meet technical intent, assess system capabilities, and characterise behaviors.
• Develop, utilize and present analytical products with the intent of assessing strategic and/or theater/regional element system level performance of the MDS in ground test and flight test events. SEA performs analysis on all elements of the MDS, with a focus on System-Level behaviors.
• Analyze performance of the MDS kill chain.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently hold an Active Secret Security Clearance, with higher clearance preferable
• Degree and experience performing systems engineering test analysis for the Missile Defense System
• Experience documenting and presenting analysis findings
• Proficiency in using analytical tools that assess the system level performance of the MDS kill chain including sensor acquisition, tracking, and discrimination; battle manager engagement planning, warfighter interaction, and engagement coordination with other MDS systems; and interceptor acquisition, tracking, and discrimination.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a geographically distributed team.
• SEA also values demonstrated capabilities in data scientist positions and the ability to develop tools to support analytical tasks and a desire to learn about MDS elements and the ability to apply an understanding of element behavior to a SystemLevel analytical perspective.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience modeling or simulating missile defense applications or similar domains (air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, space vehicles, sub-orbital mechanics, etc.).
• Strong systems engineering or MDS analysis background and demonstrated collaboration and presentation skills
• System level interface design and specification development experience is desired
• Knowledge of the Missile Defense System (MDS)
• Working knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, Jupiter Notebooks, Tableau, or similar analytical tools, system analysis, and system level testing are desired
