Job summary

n Logic seeks a Modeling and Simulation Software Developer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The role combines strong software development with aerospace, math, and physics concepts to advance M&S for missile defense systems.

Ideal candidates have an active Secret clearance, a relevant engineering or science degree, and experience in DoD or defense-oriented M&S. The position is onsite in Huntsville with minimal travel and a 9/80 schedule, offering ESOP and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, math, physics, or related field.
• Experience in software development, aerospace, systems engineering, or Modeling & Simulation.
• Strong software development and coding skills are required.
• Must understand mathematical/physics concepts for M&S applications.
• Experience with DoD missile defense M&S is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with MDA programs and organizations is preferred.
• Experience in a Linux environment is preferred.
• Experience with simulation software or flight dynamics is preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative, analytical ability, and teamwork; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain software supporting Modeling and Simulation products.
• Develop scripts and software to implement and evaluate simulation capabilities.
• Apply mathematical and physics concepts to develop simulation models and algorithms.
• Prototype high-level requirements and CONOPs in M&S environments.
• Derive aerospace and mathematical equations to support models.
• Analyze simulation results and flight performance; identify issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and tune models as required.
• Develop and execute scripts to test software and analyze results.
• Support integration, verification, and validation of M&S software.
• Maintain technical documentation for M&S products.
• Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, analysts, and others to improve M&S.

n Logic is seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation Software Developer to join our team supporting advanced missile defense systems in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will combine strong software development skills with a solid understanding of aerospace, mathematical, and physics concepts to develop and enhance Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain software supporting Modeling and Simulation (M&S) products for advanced missile defense systems.
• Develop scripts and software to implement and evaluate simulation capabilities.
• Apply mathematical, physics, and aerospace concepts to develop and understand simulation models and algorithms.
• Prototype high-level system requirements and model Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) within M&S environments.
• Derive and apply aerospace and mathematical equations to support system and simulation requirements.
• Analyze simulation results and flight performance to evaluate system behavior and identify potential issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and support specification and model tuning as required.
• Develop and execute scripts to test software and analyze results.
• Support integration, verification, and validation of M&S software and simulation capabilities.
• Maintain technical documentation associated with M&S products.
• Work collaboratively with software developers, systems engineers, analysts, and other technical personnel to develop and improve M&S capabilities.

• Experience of relevant software development, aerospace, systems engineering, or Modeling and Simulation experience
• Demonstrated software development and coding skills are required.
• Position requires a strong understanding of mathematical and/or physics concepts and the ability to apply them to Modeling and Simulation.
• Experience with Modeling and Simulation on a missile defense or equivalent Department of Defense (DoD) system is highly desired.
• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) organizations and programs is preferred.
• Experience working in a Linux environment is preferred.
• Experience developing or working with simulation software, aerospace systems, or flight dynamics is preferred.
• Demonstrated self-initiative, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess the ability to clearly express technical ideas and concepts, perform effectively as part of a team, and operate successfully in a multi-tasking environment.
