Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering or similar preferred
• 2+ years of experience with Splunk
• 4+ years of relevant hands-on system administration in enterprise environments (Windows, RHEL, VMware)
• Minimum DoD 8570.01 IAT II certification or successor
• Strong cybersecurity fundamentals including ports/protocols, firewalls, and DoD awareness
• Exposure to SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic, or others) with interest in log analysis and security monitoring
• Familiarity with STIG/ACAS requirements and compliance processes
• U.S. citizenship; ability to pass background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, deployment and maintenance of Windows and RHEL enterprise solutions
• Assist with monitoring and configuration of SIEM tools like Splunk
• Configure and maintain core IT services (DNS, DHCP, SAN, SQL, Active Directory, Group Policy)
• Support VMware environment tasks, including creating and managing virtual machines
• Participate in provisioning and deployment of workstation images in VDI environments
• Troubleshoot basic system issues, escalate complex problems to senior staff
• Apply security configurations and maintain system logging
• Schedule and monitor system backups and data recovery operations
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to team improvements
