Overview
Arcfield seeks a Component Systems Engineer (Focus: Ground System - Analysis & Production) – SE II. This role supports a joint customer program office responsible for acquiring the future GEOINT Ground Architecture that provides modular, open architecture, global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical lead for designated systems engineering efforts, ensuring compliance with standard Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) processes, including engineering review board processes and practices.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including requirements, risk assessments, and system performance metrics.
- Oversee systems from an end-to-end perspective, ensuring proper integration, functionality, and performance across all components.
- Coordinate with program managers and developers to ensure system requirements are met and align with broader program goals.
- Facilitate cross-component collaboration to ensure seamless integration and support implementation of thread-based structures (solution epics and program epics).
- Provide data management and support, ensuring data strategies, provenance, and optimizations are effectively implemented.
- Evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for improvement, including faster processing and enhanced product delivery; work with vendors to test and implement innovative solutions.
- Support acquisition processes as needed, including contributing to independent government cost estimates and contract documentation; collaborate with contracting officers and other acquisition professionals to ensure compliance with policies and timelines.
- Align systems engineering efforts with the organization’s long-term vision (e.g., 2035 objectives) and provide strategic insights to leadership on system improvements and future capabilities.
- Collaborate with program managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet mission needs in a mission-critical environment.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance with Poly.
- Bachelors (BS) with 2-4 years or Masters (MS) with 0-2 years of experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end systems engineering and integration lifecycle, including requirements management and analysis, architecture, design, verification, validation, testing, transition to operations, and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of SAFe agile methodology, agile planning and management concepts, and Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
- Strong customer teaming skills with the ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to develop products in multiple formats and to lead technical discussions and outcomes.
- Strong organization, prioritization, scheduling, and attention to detail; demonstrated analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with GEOINT systems and ground systems (strongly desired).
- Experience in Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) environments (desirable).
