Job summary

Air Force Research Laboratory is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer at Edwards AFB, CA to support rocket and space propulsion programs. The role emphasizes MBSE, systems integration, and rigorous verification of complex aerospace systems.

The incumbent will work with project managers and cross-functional teams to manage design, integration, and testing, while advancing MBSE artifacts and requirements verification.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Systems Engineering artifacts using MBSE tools and methodologies.
• Work with project managers and integration/test teams to design, integrate, and test complex systems.
• Define, document and manage system interfaces, requirements, and verification methods.
• Develop test plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and successful delivery.
• Assist with project management activities including planning, progress tracking and reporting.
• Apply specialized knowledge of rocket & space propulsion systems and test infrastructure.
