Job summary

Kuka Systems GMBH Branch Office Paris is seeking a software and systems engineering specialist to advise on server infrastructure for healthcare solutions. You will manage installations, integrations with customer systems, and software updates across projects.

The role requires collaboration with project managers, site installation managers, and technical teams, plus occasional travel in the US and Canada. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or five years of relevant healthcare deployment experience.
• Familiarity with HL7 interfaces and integration engines (Mirth Connect, Rhapsody).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across disparate systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME guidance on server software infrastructure for Swisslog Healthcare solutions.
• Oversee installation and integration tasks, including third-party interfaces.
• Deploy software updates to customer systems as required.
• Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to connect automation hardware with server infrastructure.
• Lead label programming installation following best practices.
• Assist with effort estimates and scope for special projects.
• Work with product teams to develop deployment and software best practices.

• Software systems, integration, and IT subject matter expert for all project realization activities. Advise the customer’s teams on the required server software infrastructure needed for the successful implementation of Swisslog Healthcare solutions.
• Responsible for the installation and integration tasks associated with projects, including internal systems integration and interfaces with customer’s third- party systems.
• Deploy software updates and upgrades to customer systems as required.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Installation Managers, and the implementation team to complete the interface and connectivity between automation hardware and the server infrastructure.
• Lead the installation and development of label programming, following best practices
• Assist the Director of Systems Engineering & Implementation with effort estimates and scope of work definitions necessary for special projects.
• Collaborate extensively with the technical product teams and Technology Centers to develop deployment and software best practices.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or five years of relevant experience in a healthcare software/application deployment or customer support role.
• Familiarity with healthcare interfaces or equivalent industry standard interfaces (HL7) and integration engines (ex. Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, etc.).
• Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills along with the ability to quickly understand the integration and data flow between disparate systems.
• 3 years of experience with:
  • Microsoft SQL query and data manipulation.
  • Solutions development via scripting or a programming language (ex. JavaScript, Bash, Ruby, Python, etc.).
  • Installing, configuring, supporting Windows Workstation, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server and Linux applications.
  • Familiarity with common support tools (ex. SecureLink, Beyond Trust, GitHub, Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
• Ability to travel within the US and Canada, as required for team collaboration and the support of customer projects (10-15%).

Desirable, but not Essential

• Management of EDI message handling
• Crystal Reports, or similar SQL reporting tools
• Troubleshooting IT infrastructure including networks, and VPNs

Compensation

Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
