Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a System Engineer for ModSim in the Joint Simulation Environment to help design, model, and test complex defense systems across programs. This role supports our cutting‑edge autonomous airpower initiatives in demanding environments.

You will build models and simulations, work with Program Management, Mission Software, and Operations Analysts, and present results clearly to engineers and leadership. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance is required.
• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science or similar engineering or technical field.
• 2+ years Systems Engineering experience across the life cycle.
• Experience with MODSIM environments like AFSIM or JSE.
• Understanding of MODSIM environment interfaces and behaviors.
• Experience with requirements analysis and system design in a government context.
• Proficiency with writing and owning systems-level requirements.
• Strong engineering background in Aerospace, Dynamics & Controls, GNC, Systems, or similar.
• Experience with SysML, DoDAF, UAFP, or similar.
• Experience developing MBSE artifacts (OO, IBDs, activity diagrams, etc.).
• Experience with Cameo MagicDraw or similar systems engineering software (Rhapsody, SparxEA).
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to visualize complex data.

Responsibilities

• Red-team designs, models, and analyses across a program.
• Build models and simulations to prove or break a claim.
• Support Program Management, Mission Software Engineers, and Operations Analysts as a systems engineer.
• Communicate complex results with strong visual presentation to engineers, leadership, and stakeholders.
