bizfirst seeks a Systems Engineer, Level 1, for Mission Operations Support on a full-time basis at Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on Linux/NiFi front-end systems within a SIGINT mission support program. Immediate start upon offer and clearance transfer is preferred.

The candidate will work onsite, support 24/7 mission coverage, and collaborate with government teams to model, design, and deploy complex mission systems and rugged RF hardware.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management; seven years of systems engineering experience.
• Twelve years of systems engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience optimizing and maintaining systems that support data and voice technologies over IP.
• Troubleshooting and following SOPs; updating documentation accordingly.
• Experience configuring and maintaining front-end systems, including survey systems.
• Experience with data flows and secure network policies.
• Proficiency with the Linux/Unix command line and scripting (Bash, shell, Python).
• Experience with Apache NiFi.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols.
• Ability to support a shift schedule and work onsite at Fort Meade, MD.

Role Overview

This position supports the following program: a signals intelligence (SIGINT) mission support program that provides collection systems engineering, target development, analysis, reporting, and mission software development for an Intelligence Community customer. The position is onsite at Fort Meade, MD, on a shift schedule, and the role is open now for an immediate start. Our client is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that has supported U.S. defense and intelligence missions since 2012. Its systems, software, and data science engineers work side by side with government teams to model, design, integrate, and deploy complex mission systems, and the company also builds rugged RF hardware for specialized SIGINT applications. Led by a U.S. Navy veteran with more than 30 years of DoD mission experience, the company supports programs alongside many of the largest national security integrators and has a long-established presence in Maryland near Fort Meade.
