Job summary

Synovix, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a defense program in Huntsville, AL, involved in the end-to-end lifecycle from concept to production. You will drive system architectures, interfaces, and verification using MBSE, and model with SysML in Cameo System Modeler.

You will collaborate with embedded software teams and other stakeholder groups, define interfaces, and contribute to digital engineering through traceability and risk mitigation. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of experience and a Bachelor in Science.
• Experience developing systems engineering products across the full lifecycle.
• Experience supporting embedded software or embedded computing platforms.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience using SysML and Cameo System Modeler (or similar tools).
• Experience with white-box and black-box analysis and architecture development.
• Understanding software architecture, integration, and interfaces.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools.
• Experience working in Agile software development teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies using MBSE.
• Create and maintain SysML models using Cameo Systems Modeler (or equivalent MBSE tools).
• Collaborate with embedded software developers to ensure architectures are implemented.
• Define software and hardware interface requirements for embedded environments.
• Support digital engineering through model-based analysis, architecture development, and traceability.
• Develop system verification and validation plans with complete requirements coverage.
• Partner with software, hardware, cybersecurity, reliability, system safety, and integration teams to resolve issues.
• Support Agile development using JIRA, Confluence, and configuration management tools.
• Participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, SVR technical reviews.
• Evaluate technical risk and recommend mitigation strategies.

Synovix is seeking a Systems Engineer for a defense development program we are supporting in Huntsville, AL. This program offers the opportunity to support the clean sheet design of a new defense product from its earliest development stages through integration, testing, and eventual production. The program has the potential to transition into production much faster than traditional government acquisition timelines. What You Will Do

Preferred Qualifications

• Embedded Linux or Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) knowledge.
• Software development experience using C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, Jenkins, or CI/CD pipelines.
