Job summary

Synovix, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a defense development program in Huntsville, AL. You will guide system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies using MBSE.

You will create SysML models with Cameo, collaborate with embedded software teams, and define interfaces for embedded computing environments while supporting agile development and technical reviews throughout the lifecycle. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of experience with a Bachelors in Science.
• Experience across the full system lifecycle.
• Experience supporting embedded software or computing platforms.
• MBSE experience.
• SysML and Cameo System Modeler experience.
• Experience with white-box and black-box analysis and architecture development.
• Understanding software architecture, software integration, and interface development.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools.
• Experience working in Agile software development teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies using MBSE.
• Create and maintain SysML models using Cameo Systems Modeler (or equivalent MBSE tools).
• Collaborate with embedded software developers to ensure system architectures are effectively implemented.
• Define software and hardware interface requirements for embedded computing environments.
• Support digital engineering initiatives through model-based analysis, architecture development, and requirements traceability.
• Develop system verification and validation plans while ensuring complete requirements coverage.
• Partner with software, hardware, cybersecurity, reliability, system safety, and integration teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support Agile development using JIRA, Confluence, and configuration management tools.
• Participate in technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and SVR.
• Evaluate technical risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
