Job summary

Saratech Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong MBSE leadership to drive MBSE maturation across the organization. The role requires hands-on experience in modeling with CAMEO and a track record of implementing MBSE within engineering teams.

The position is on-site at Irvine, CA, for a 12+ month contract. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and proven MBSE deployment experience, with DOORS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Systems/Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven MBSE experience and leadership within an engineering group.
• Experience deploying MBSE across an organization and improving processes.
• Strong proficiency with CAMEO; preferred DOORS experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive MBSE adoption and maturation across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship on MBSE.
• Develop MBSE strategies, workflows, and best practices.
• Integrate MBSE into the systems engineering lifecycle (reqs, architecture, design, interfaces, verification, validation).
• Develop system models using CAMEO and ensure value across product lifecycle.
• Link models with requirements, docs, analyses, and verification activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes via MBSE workflows.

About the Opportunity:

Saratech is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) leadership and implementation experience to drive the adoption and maturation of MBSE practices across the organization.

Salary Range:

$90 per hour (On-Site in Irvine, CA, 12+ month Contract)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive the implementation and adoption of MBSE methodologies, processes, and tools across the organization.
• Serve as an internal MBSE subject-matter expert and champion, providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to systems and engineering teams.
• Develop and implement MBSE strategies, workflows, standards, and best practices appropriate for the organization and its products.
• Lead efforts to integrate MBSE into the broader systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, interfaces, verification, and validation.
• Develop and maintain system models using CAMEO while ensuring models provide meaningful value throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Define processes for connecting system models with requirements, engineering documentation, analysis, and verification activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes through increased use of MBSE and model-based workflows.
• Work directly with engineering leadership and multidisciplinary teams to drive organizational change and adoption of MBSE practices.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated professional experience in Systems Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Proven experience implementing, deploying, and driving adoption of MBSE within an engineering organization.
• Experience establishing or improving MBSE processes, methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Strong proficiency with CAMEO Systems Modeler is required.
• Experience with thermal management systems or other complex multidisciplinary systems preferred.
• Experience with IBM DOORS preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site in Irvine, CA
