Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to translate customer requirements into detailed IC specifications and collaborate across Applications, IC Design, and Marketing. You will build models, validate silicon in the lab, and help produce datasheets and tools for high-volume sensing solutions.

The role offers hands-on experience with mixed-signal IC architectures, sensor lab automation, and opportunities across automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• 0 to 3 years of academic or industry experience (relevant internships or co-ops strongly valued).
• Foundational proficiency with numerical modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB / Simulink or Python.
• Solid knowledge of analog circuits, digital logic, signal processing, and feedback/control systems.
• Hands-on experience with standard electrical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, multimeters).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; eager to learn and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in breaking down customer use cases into IC-level requirements.
• Build and run behavioral simulations to analyze magnetic behavior and sensor performance.
• Maintain system requirements and verification traceability using Jama Connect.
• Set up testbenches and validate silicon across operating conditions in the lab.
• Support creation of datasheets, application notes, and design tools.
• Collaborate with IC Design, Test Engineering, and Marketing throughout development.
