Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems seeks an enthusiastic Systems Engineer to help define, model, and evaluate next‑gen magnetic sensing ICs for motion control in consumer, industrial, and automotive applications.

You will translate customer requirements into detailed hardware specifications, develop behavioral models, and validate silicon in the lab while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure deliverables align with product development milestones.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
0–3 years of academic or industry experience; internships or co-ops valued.
Foundational proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink or Python.
Solid knowledge of analog/digital circuits, signal processing, and control systems.
Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Translate customer requirements into IC-level electrical and functional requirements.
Build and run behavioral simulations using MATLAB/Simulink or Python to analyze magnetic behavior and processing paths.
Maintain system requirements and verification traceability using Jama Connect.
Set up testbenches and validate silicon performance across operating conditions.
Create datasheets, application notes, design calculation tools, and validation reports.
Collaborate with Analog/Digital IC Design, Test Engineering, and Marketing throughout development.
