Job summary

Cook seeks an experienced MES specialist to support and advance our manufacturing execution system across design, implementation, and lifecycle activities. You will collaborate with global stakeholders to define business needs, validate MES functionality, and develop training materials to enable smooth adoption across sites.

Job description

• Support Cook's enterprise-wide manufacturing execution system (MES) software and related systems across design, implementation, and sustaining life-cycle activities
• Work with stakeholders to define business needs and user requirements
• Understand MES design and its influence on other systems
• Participate in and/or lead the design of MES system functionality
• Develop procedures for management and utilization of the MES system
• Coordinate MES system validation with IT
• Develop training materials for new MES functionality
• Coordinate site implementation of MES functionality, including data migration, policy/procedural changes, and training
• Capture lessons learned following implementation
• Document and resolve existing gaps
• Communicate upcoming changes to stakeholders and users
• Communicate and govern MES policies and procedures
• Monitor MES performance data and improvement metrics
• Identify, prioritize, and manage MES system improvement projects
• Assess supplier MES system upgrades and coordinate recommendations with IT
• Draft and update global MES procedures and maintain procedures and training materials as systems change
• Assess compliance with established MES policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and alignment across Cook
• Conduct business with integrity and comply with applicable standards and Cook policies
• Ensure quality, regulatory, compliance, and product-specific requirements are met

Requirements

• College degree required and/or equivalent relevant work experience in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical
• Experience across a broad range of MES tools, data, and processes
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
• Experience working in a global environment / global teams across many cultures and regions
• Experience managing and executing complex projects/programs in an engineering environment
• Legally authorized to be employed in the United States
