MORI seeks a Systems Engineer to support data and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, analytics, and visualization for the Office of the Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAIO) under the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is NASA’s enterprise-level contract delivering multimedia and technical communications via internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches to producing videos, managing IT, and leveraging social media, eMITS integrates services to communicate NASA’s message effectively. Job Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate data management requirements collection to inform capability roadmaps.
  2. Develop and maintain data management standards and practices.
  3. Configure data visualization and analytics dashboards.
  4. Support communication of AI successes, lessons learned, and performance metrics through various mechanisms.
  5. Provide data visualizations and metrics to track progress on NASA’s goals as per data and AI strategies.
  6. Manage user accounts, support onboarding/offboarding, and troubleshoot data and AI tools.
  7. Organize and facilitate testing activities with stakeholders.
  8. Evaluate generative AI capabilities and develop measurement frameworks for their business value.
  9. Identify use-cases for GenAI, evaluate AI models for vulnerabilities, and document mitigation strategies.
  10. Develop a data and AI capabilities roadmap for future planning and phased integration.
  11. Conduct annual data and AI inventories, update NASA’s data catalog, and prepare reports for governance and Congress.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

BA/BS in computer science, engineering, or related field with 15 years relevant experience in Systems Engineering/Multimedia Engineering.

Experience/Skills:

  • Deep understanding of multimedia systems (audio, video, graphics).
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Java, Python.
  • Experience designing and implementing multimedia solutions across platforms.
  • Knowledge of multimedia editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro).
  • Strong troubleshooting, network, and security knowledge.
  • Experience with quality assurance, performance analysis, and project management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Box is required. Additional qualifications include proficiency in M365, SharePoint, MS Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Strategy Management, CDMP, and certifications like ITIL, Server+, MCSE, CISSP are desirable.

Compensation Range: $135K to $150K
