Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer IV to join the Quant Analytics Platforms team. You will operationalize cloud-native AWS systems at scale, enabling greenfield analytics infrastructure across trading desks globally.

You will automate tasks with Terraform/Terragrunt, deploy via Helm on EKS, and optimize CI/CD, monitoring, and security in a regulated enterprise environment. Hybrid remote work up to three days per week supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with cloud-native AWS systems at scale.
• Experience automating operational tasks using IaC tools (Terraform/Terragrunt) and Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
• Strong skills in CI/CD optimization, monitoring, and alerting.
• Knowledge of security best practices in regulated enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with distributed storage and network concepts (VPC, Route53, IAM, EC2).

Responsibilities

Systems Engineer IV

Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Quant Analytics Platforms team within the CDO (Chief Data Office). You will have experience operationalizing cloud-native (AWS) systems at scale. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-impact, greenfield project to scale and evolve the advanced analytics platform infrastructure and capabilities powering our Research, Investments and Trading quant analytics workloads across T. Rowe’s global Equities, Fixed-Income and Multi-Asset desks. Role Summary

• Automate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform and or Terragrunt, and Helm for charting K8s deployments.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and streamline deployment processes.
• Ensure platform high availability and reliability.
• Implement robust observability and alerting.
• Implement security best practices in compliance with regulation and enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test and production environments.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
