Responsibilities

  • Support applications and databases using Java, Python, and Siemens configuration tools; assist with Linux deployments and virtualization.
  • Maintain Jira Helpdesk tickets and update documentation in Confluence; ensure software is managed in Bitbucket.
  • Ensure compliance and security requirements are met; investigate issues and perform cause analysis.

ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply. **You will:** * Provide day-to-day support for configuration and maintenance activities, including supporting upgrades, add-ons, and off-the-shelf and custom feature enhancements of ARL’s Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) tool Teamcenter by Siemens* Collaborate with cross functional teams with a focus on translating business requirements into technical solutions and ultimately working with the PLM CAD Tools team to realize those solutions through successful integration, testing, roll out, and training activities* Application and database support utilizing Java, python, and proprietary Siemens configuration tools* Configuration and deployment of Linux systems (including virtual environments), application configuration and programming, and database maintenance* Jira Helpdesk user support, updating related application or process documentation via Atlassian Confluence, and ensure software is managed in Atlassian Bitbucket* Ensure all required compliance and security requirements are continually met* Investigate application issues, perform cause analysis, and take corrective actions **Required skills/experience areas include:** * Self-disciplined, highly motivated, and customer service-oriented* Past success in providing ideas in written form for clear comprehension to an audience* Demonstrated ability to work through a difficult problem, using proper steps to define and formulate ideas to reach a solution* Demonstrated organization skills* Current eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret level or higher and may be subject to a government background investigation to upgrade clearance eligibility, if required **Preferred skills/experience areas include:** * Software application support experience using Java and python* Oracle database experience* General operating system and Linux system knowledge* Self-disciplined, highly motivated, and customer service-oriented* Past success in providing ideas in written form for clear comprehension to an audience* Demonstrated ability to work through a difficult problem, using proper steps to define and formulate ideas to reach a solution* Demonstrated organization skills Your working location will be fully on-site, located in State College, PA. The successful candidate can work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer.
