This is an opportunity to work across multiple interconnected disciplines across a large team of teams.ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.**Responsibilities include:*** Develop and deploy on-prem, external, and hybrid HPC (High Performance Compute) / cloud research platforms* Develop and integrate supporting AI/ML models, agentic workflows, and agentic engineering services* Develop HPC / cloud security principals, protocols, and practices from secure supply chain to* Enhance modern development practices through DevSecOps and agile methodologies* Advance existing hardware and software level Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automations* Create HPC / cloud architectural designs and documentation* Implement observability, telemetry, and monitoring solutions to collect and analyze system insights and performance data**Preferred Source Degree Programs:*** Computer Science, or Computer Engineering from the College of Engineering* Cybersecurity from Information Sciences and Technology (IST)* Management Information Systems (MIS) from the Smeal College of Business**Interest in a selection of the following is required:*** US Federal Government Research and Development* HPC / Cloud computing platforms and services* AI development and integration* DevSecOps practices and tools* Infrastructure automation* Secure digital supply chain practices* Cybersecurity policies, procedures, practices* Software development and design**Preferred Experience include:*** US Military ROTC, Veteran, or Reservist service* Interim Secret or above Security Clearance.* Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) CNCF: K8, K3S, Rancher, Longhorn, Keycloak, Kyverno), external (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud),* Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) technology integrations (K8, K3, Rancher, Longhorn, Keycloak, Kyverno)* Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation)* CI/CD pipelines and automation (Gitlab, Bamboo, ArgoCD, Github)* Scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)* API development and integration* Database management (SQL and NoSQL)* Computer Networking / SD-WAN* System administration (Windows, RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu)* Monitoring and logging tools (Elk stack, Loki, Grafana, Mimir, Tempo, Alloy, OTEL)* Version control systems expertise (Git)* Cybersecurity best practices (NIST, RMF, CMMC, ACAS, SAST, DAST)* Agile development methodologies* Virtualization familiarity and operabilityARL’s purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Intel Community (IC), and other federal government customers.
