Job summary

KBR, Inc is seeking a Systems Engineer III / Simulation Integration Support in Beavercreek, OH to support the horizontal integration of USAF open architecture programs and autonomy projects. You will drive development, simulation, maturation, and coordination of open architecture capabilities, ensuring alignment across systems and enhanced mission effectiveness.

The role requires 5+ years in autonomy/robotics domains, DoD program exposure, and strong container/tooling experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems
  • Experience with DoD acquisition or military aviation programs
  • Familiarity with requirements management software (GitLab, Artifactory, Nexus), Test Management, and Defect Tracking (JIRA)
  • Hands‑on experience with container technologies, including Docker and Podman, for building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications
  • Familiarity in systems engineering processes (requirements, integration, verification, validation)
  • Exposure to Modeling & Simulation concepts & Standards (e.g., JSE Framework)
  • An active Secret clearance is required

Position Title:

Systems Engineer II / Simulation Integration Support

Position Summary: KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the horizontal integration of multiple USAF open architecture programs and autonomy projects. Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition or military aviation programs.

  • Hands‑on experience with container technologies, including Docker and Podman, for building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications.
  • Familiarity in systems engineering processes (requirements, integration, verification, validation).
  • Exposure to Modeling & Simulation concepts & Standards (e.g., JSE Framework).
  • An active Secret clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Top-Secret clearance
  • 3+ years of experience in flight test as a discipline engineer or test conductor
  • Prior experience supporting Air Force programs, particularly in Fighter, unmanned systems, or advanced mission systems.
  • Experience using Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) or Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) simulator software.
  • Knowledge of digital engineering tools, modeling & simulation, and architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MBSE).
Work Environment:

Location: On-site – Beavercreek Ohio; 3 days minimum in office

Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
