Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to drive planning, integration, testing, and validation of Autonomous Collaborative Platform systems within the GAME environment. You will partner with government, industry, and partners to assess tech maturity, craft integration strategies, and support Air Force ACP program acquisition planning.

This senior role requires in-depth operational expertise, leadership, and the ability to guide test and validation efforts to support warfighter needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Minimum 7+ years in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems.
  • Exposure to Modeling & Simulation concepts & Standards (e.g., JSE, AFSIM, MACE).
  • Familiarity in systems engineering processes (requirements, integration, verification, validation).
  • Familiarity with software development, requirements management software (GitLab, Artifactory, Nexus), Test Management, and Defect Tracking (JIRA).
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies, including Docker and Podman, for building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition or military aviation programs.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.

Position Title: Systems Engineer IV / Simulation Integration and Test Expert KBR is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support planning, integration, test, and validation of Autonomous Collaborative Platform (ACP) systems in KBRs Government Autonomy Modeling and Simulation Environment (GAME).

The selected candidate will work closely with government, industry, and partners to assess technology maturity, develop integration strategies, and support acquisition planning for the future of the Air Force ACP program.

This is a senior position in which the candidate will apply in-depth operational expertise, leadership, and technical knowledge to support the Warfighter in ACP test and validation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support simulation-related analysis, requirements development, and systems engineering activities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 7+ years of experience in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems.
  • Exposure to Modeling & Simulation concepts & Standards (e.g., JSE, AFSIM, MACE).

Desired Experience:
  • Master’s degree desired.
  • STEM degree desired.
  • 5+ years of experience in flight test as a discipline engineer or test conductor.
  • Experience using Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) or Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) simulator software.
  • Prior experience supporting Air Force programs, particularly in Fighter, unmanned systems, or advanced mission systems.
  • Knowledge of digital engineering tools, modeling & simulation, and architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MBSE).
Work Environment:

Location: On-site – Beavercreek Ohio; Hybrid (3 days minimum in office)

Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% or as directed by mission requirements

Working Hours: Standard 40 hours
