Job summary

KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support the horizontal integration of multiple USAF open architecture programs and autonomy projects. You will help drive the development, simulation, maturation, and coordination of open architecture capabilities; ensuring alignment across systems and enhancing mission effectiveness.

Location is on-site in Beavercreek, OH with 3 days minimum in the office. You will collaborate with Government clients, reduce risk via prototype efforts, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in STEM fields such as systems, computer, or aerospace engineering.
• 3-5 years in Systems Engineering.
• Experience with software architecture and development.
• Data modeling, test driven development, and mission planning.
• Collaborative software development in open source or professional teams.
• Active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess feasibility of horizontal integration across open reference architectures and multiple projects.
• Coordinate experiments, ensure aligned lines of effort, and brief leadership on results.
• Break up cross‑cutting activity into prototype‑based work to reduce risk.
• Engage with Government clients to understand integration requirements.
• Analyze data to optimize hardware, software, and IT solutions.
• Deliver systems integration results across architectures and standards.
