Job summary

KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support the horizontal integration of multiple USAF open architecture programs and autonomy projects in Beavercreek, Ohio. You will help drive development, simulation, maturation, and coordination of open architecture capabilities, ensuring alignment across systems and enhancing mission effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (systems/computer/aerospace engineering or related) and relevant experience in systems engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Systems Engineering and software architecture.
• Experience with data modeling, test-driven development, and mission planning.
• Experience with collaborative software development in open source or professional teams.
• Active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess feasibility of horizontal integration across open reference architectures and multiple projects.
• Coordinate experiments, ensure aligned lines of effort, and deliver leadership-level briefs of experimentation results.
• Break up scope of cross-cutting activities into prototype-based work to reduce risk and identify opportunities.
• Engage with Government clients to understand integration requirements and needs.
• Analyze and optimize system designs to maximize data utilization and mission effectiveness.
• Conduct analysis related to hardware, software, man-machine interfaces, and system-level requirements.
