Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer III for a hybrid role in Folsom, CA / Reno, NV to support DoD missile defense programs with MBSE, verification, and risk management. You will develop system requirements and MBSE artifacts while coordinating across propulsion, software, hardware, test, and customers.

Requirements include 4–7 years in systems engineering, MBSE expertise, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Travel ~10% and ITAR/EAR eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of systems engineering experience in DoD, aerospace, or missile defense programs.
• Experience with requirements development, verification planning, risk management, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with MDA processes, technical reviews, and CDRL development.
• Hands-on MBSE experience using SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler/MagicDraw.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Systems Engineer III supports MDA-aligned missile defense programs with a focus on requirements development, system verification, technical risk management, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). The role works across engineering disciplines, customers, and suppliers to drive technical planning, execution, and program success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain system, subsystem, and interface requirements; ensure traceability and compliance with MDA standards.
• Develop verification plans, procedures, compliance matrices, and support system-level reviews, inspections, and tests.

Key Skills & Preferred Experience

DOORS or equivalent requirements tools; SysML diagrams; Cameo/MagicDraw; systems engineering lifecycle standards; technical risk management; technical writing and presentations; Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project. Experience with MDA/defense technical reviews, DoDAF, INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, EVM, or scheduling tools is a plus.
