Job summary

BD is seeking a Systems Engineer II in Irvine to support electromechanical hemodynamic monitoring devices. You will bridge Software, Mechanical and Electrical engineering to ensure cohesive system performance and adherence to design requirements.

You will contribute to verification, risk analysis, test development, and integration efforts, with a focus on real-time embedded systems and scripting in Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (e.g., Bioengineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or product design.
• Experience in developing and performing system-level characterization and integration.
• Experience in developing test cases and writing technical protocols and reports.
• Basic knowledge of statistical tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Systems engineer activities, including functional characterization and verification and validation of system level requirements.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineers (i.e Mechanical, Software, Electrical) to support verification of the integration of various subsystems
• Contribute to risk analysis documentation and activities.
• Apply scientific and statistical methods to resolve problems, develop tests and test methods and analyze test results.
