BD is a leading global medical technology company dedicated to advancing health. The Systems Engineer II, within the Systems Engineering group in Irvine, will help bridge Software, Mechanical and Electrical engineering to support electromechanical hemodynamic monitoring products.

The role emphasizes system design, integration, and verification to meet design requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop test plans, perform risk analysis, and apply statistical methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (e.g., Bioengineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or product design.
• Experience in developing and performing system-level characterization and integration.
• Experience in developing test cases and writing technical protocols and reports.
• Basic knowledge of statistical tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Systems engineer activities, including functional characterization and verification and validation of system level requirements.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineers (i.e Mechanical, Software, Electrical) to support verification of the integration of various subsystems
• Contribute to risk analysis documentation and activities.
• Apply scientific and statistical methods to resolve problems, develop tests and test methods and analyze test results.
