Job description

Application close date:

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists and engineers, you will help define Blue Origin's Human Landing System (HLS) - the lander that will carry astronauts to the surface of the Moon and return them safely to Orion. On the System Definition & Certification team you work across requirements, system safety, verification & validation, and certification - the instruments we use to prove the vehicle is safe to fly crew. You will own clearly scoped pieces of that work decomposing system requirements to lower levels, producing verification evidence, and dispositioning variances with the guidance of senior engineers. We favor lean, tool-driven workflows over moving data by hand, and we would rather build the tool that removes the busywork than staff it.
