Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise technology platforms across infrastructure, applications, networking, databases, and security. You will optimize performance, ensure security, and enable modernization while collaborating across teams.

The role requires 5+ years in IT with IBM AIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, strong scripting, and experience with cloud and virtualization technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience supporting IBM AIX (v6.x) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux; 7.x, 8.x, 9.x.
• Knowledge of scripting language and automation
• Experience with IT security practices

Responsibilities

• Operate enterprise platforms: servers, apps, storage, databases, and networked services.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance and capacity.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across environments and stacks.
• Develop automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Collaborate with teams to architect and implement new platforms and infra solutions.
• Lead or support upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Strengthen platform security and secure configurations.
